# A class library versus a practice player

A class library sells lessons. A practice player does not. If you already have the video, another catalogue will not flip it, loop the hard eight, or slow the feet. If you do not have a video, a practice player will not invent the class.

| Capability | Dancer Mirror | Class library |
| --- | --- | --- |
| What you are buying | Tools for a video you import. No lesson catalogue. | A library of classes, often a monthly or yearly subscription. |
| Mirror, loop, slow | On your file, in the app. | Often built into their own classes. Not yours to point at any file. |
| Who teaches | Whoever made the video you already have. | Their instructors, on their footage. |
| Price shape | Lifetime Pro, one time, in the App Store or Google Play. India shelf and artist codes are on the pricing page. | Check the store. Examples below were public list prices, and they change. |
| Pose score | Not in the app. | Some other products score a body. This comparison is not those products. |

**Takeaway.** Pay a class app when you want a teacher on a schedule. Pay once for Lifetime Pro when the clip is already yours and you want to drill it. Confirm every other company's price in that company's store.

## When a class library is the right buy

Buy a class library when you want a beginner path, a style you have never touched, and a person who planned the hour. STEEZY is one example people compare: on-demand classes, and a public price around $20 a month or about $100 a year. CLI Studios is another, with a public yearly price around $199.99. Those figures were listed by the companies. Confirm the current price in the store before you pay anyone.

An occasional dancer asking for 'something like STEEZY' is often asking for less library and more control of one video. That is a different product. It is reasonable to want both: a class on Sunday, and a practice player on Tuesday for the combination you were given.

## When a practice player is the right buy

Use a practice player when the choreography already exists as a file: a teacher's clip, a routine for a show, a phrase you are allowed to keep. Lifetime Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. The India tax-inclusive shelf and the artist-code price are stated on the pricing page, from the same figures as checkout. Other countries follow the store's local price. This website does not charge the card.

A practice player will not tell you if the dancing was good. There is no pose score here. You watch your own take, or you ask a person. If a page promises a grade of your body, it is describing something else.

## Is a monthly class app worth it if I already have the video?

Only if you want their lessons as well. The video you already have does not need their catalogue. It needs a mirror, a loop, and a slower speed.

## Can an app teach me to dance?

A class app can present a lesson. A practice app can make the repeats less fiddly. Neither one puts the phrase in your body without the repeats. A teacher still sees things a phone does not.
