# Schuhplattler which hand hits which boot

Schuhplattler which hand hits which boot is the whole problem at full speed. Thigh, knee, sole: the sequence is a rhythm, and a facing dancer swaps the hand. A Hungarian csárdás heel click and a lezginka arm are not this slap. Give them their own files.

**Short answer.** Schuhplattler which hand hits which boot has to be named slowly: this hand, this thigh, this sole. Plattler dances do not share one sequence. A dancer facing you puts the slap on the wrong hand until you flip and try two hits. Csárdás heel clicks and lezginka arms are other dances. Dancer Mirror does not download videos. Use the file your group sent, on a floor that can take a shoe.

- Schuhplattler sequences differ by dance. The clip names the slap.
- A facing video swaps the hand that hits the sole.
- Csárdás and lezginka are different practices.

**Takeaway.** Slow two slaps. Name the hand and the boot. Do not collect three countries in one night because a folk festival has three stages.

## What do you name out loud?

Hand, then place. Right hand, left sole. Left hand, right thigh. Whatever the clip does for two hits. If you cannot say it, you do not know it, however festive it looks. Loop those two hits until the sentence is boring. Then the next two. A full plattler at tempo is a blur even to the person dancing it. That is why it looks like magic and why bedrooms fail.

Styles differ by valley and by club. The encyclopedia page will show you the slap as a Bavarian and Tyrolean form. It will not print your club's count. The club's file wins. A video titled with the same dance from another town may be a different poem.

The form is described [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schuhplattler).

**Two slaps, named**

- 0.25×: Say the hand and the place it hits.
- 0.5×: Same two slaps. The sentence should still be true.
- 1×: Only those two. Add more tomorrow.

## A facing slap is a swapped hand

The sole is a small target. The hand that hits it is the mistake. If the dancer looks at the camera, their right hand is on your left. You will slap the wrong boot with confidence and blame your rhythm. Flip, slap twice in the air with no force, and see if the sentence now matches the person who taught you.

Air slaps before real ones. A wrong sole at tempo is a bruise and a noise. Neighbours do not love this dance. A board, a short session, shoes you can actually slap. Lederhosen are optional in a flat. The count is not.

The picture flip is the [mirror guide](https://dancermirror.com/guides/how-to-mirror-a-dance-video). The slap is the test. Not the costume.

## The heel click is another dance

Csárdás, slow then quick, with clicks of the heels or boots, is a Hungarian couple and folk form with its own paths. A click in the air is not a schuhplattler slap on a sole. If you drill them together you will slap when you should click, which is funny once and wrong after that. The accented name has more than one spelling online. The dance your group does is the file they sent.

A short account is [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cs%C3%A1rd%C3%A1s). It is not a step sheet.

## The arms are the third file

Lezginka at a Caucasian wedding is fast feet and arms that are not symmetrical: one bent across the body, one out, changing when the turn changes. Flipping the clip to see the toes can put the heart-side arm on the wrong side of the story. Check the arms after the feet, the way you would check a weapon hand. Do not do it in the same hour as the boot slaps. Your shoulders will be confused and the wedding will show it.

I am not assigning you a toe sequence. Regions differ. The cousin who sent the clip knows which one. Slow the feet only after you know you have their file and not a stage excerpt with the same hat.

The dance, named and situated, is [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lezginka).

## Why not practise all three tonight?

Because they are three rhythms wearing boots or soft shoes, and your body will average them. A folk festival programming all three is three rehearsals. Pick the one you will be ashamed to miss. Own two hits, or one arm position, or one click. Leave the other countries for their own nights.

Dancer Mirror does not download videos. Name the files with the dance. 'Folk' is how the wrong slap happens in front of the wrong uncles.
